Went to Jusco, Kepong today as mom had to meet with her colleagues there. We ate lunch at around 2pm at a restaurant recommended by my mom's colleague for its famous fried rice. "Food and Tea" was its name. We ordered many dishes; a plate of fried rice, tuna pineapple focaccia, century egg porridge, luncheon meat focaccia, yam cake, lemon green tea, ice-cream sundae, mango and jelly dessert, ice lemon tea and grass jelly with milk tea. Food was OK but the service was bad. The lady who took our order basically didn't order some of our food to the food counter many times. After repeatedly reminding and questioning the staffs there on why our food had not arrive despite waiting for more than half an hour, they claimed that our food was not ordered. This happened to the yam cake. The porridge came after half an hour or so. Even though we were not quite full yet, we quickly asked for the bill and left at about 3.30pm with everyone feeling very unsatisfied with their service. We took an hour and a half for lunch, and basically most of that time were for waiting for the food to be served to our table.
Also, my brother went to a stall selling phone accessories, to change his phone's casing. At first, he was all excited that he could now replace his spoiled key pad, and would be able to type in a civilized manner. Unfortunately, the lady who so kind-heartedly offered to change the casing for him was very unprofessional and did not know how to change a casing properly. To cut this story short, we were all very unhappy with our outing today as nothing went as planned. As ironic or sexist as this may be, I don't think I'd ever allow a women to repair my mobile phone after this incident.
On a lighter note, the HIGHLIGHT of today would be that I've finally bought 2 books! :)

Keeping Faith - Jodi Picoult
Where can I get my hands on the movie version?

Later at night, had dinner at Garden, 1Utama.
The place is real cozy and comfortable. Small little details like the rose shaped stirrer, potted flowers on table, and an overall green atmosphere created the calm ambiance and reminds me of stories of pixies and fairies that emerge to play in the garden.

The portion size was humongous to me, and the appetizer itself made me full already. I love the mushroom soup and the jug of watermelon juice! :D
Earth Hour 2010 passed without me noticing. Lights at the restaurant were left on and we didn't notice it had passed until we finished eating and checked the time. What happened?
Plant more trees. Use less plastic bags.
hugs and kisses
