My brother decided to leave the house at midnight, only to return at 6.30am the next morning when my maid discovered that the main door was left unlocked and his shoes were missing.
He said he just wanted to have a life.
But hey, what kind of life is it that you're searching for? One that needs you to flee the house without telling its occupants that you didn't lock the main door? Giving opportunity to robbers and potential criminals a change to ransack our home? What kind of activity, or plainly, who at their right frame of mind would just leave like that and not tell anyone where they're going? What kind of activity do 16 year olds do at midnight till 6 am? Just what kind of life is that?
Blame me for being conservative, but he just doesn't have a single idea of what's going on in the world. He doesn't respect elders, he thinks just because his friends have money, he should be having some as well. He thinks just because his friends all have a Blackberry, he should be entitled to one as well. He thinks just because his friends can afford RM300 per pair of shoe, he should as well have it. And not through hard work or earning your own pocket money to buy those things, he literally demands for it.
And why won't you stop poisoning your mind with all the negative things? When we scold you, nag you, persuade you to change, all you can think of is that you'll rather be dead than having us as your family. Post it on facebook nonetheless so everyone can see how subtle, how tortured you were to have us as your family. Peer influence greatly affects your mind. Hell yeah, but a little bit of positive thinking gives you no harm. Think of what's right and what's wrong. Don't just follow blindly behind a leader who doesn't knows nothing himself.
He's 16 and yet he doesn't realise the importance of a proper education. All he wants is just to enjoy life as it is, thinking he won't need a good education to secure a good job, because he thinks like his friends, he has the money to do so. Naive and immature. Somebody please wake him up.
