For Dad's birthday this year, we decided to dine at Oriental Banquet. It's a cozy restaurant, divided into sections to host different events at the same time. We actually planned to eat there on Saturday, July 3rd, but it was full. We then wanted to try our luck at a restaurant in Jaya 33, but it was full as well. Guess it was an auspicious day as on that day itself many restaurants were fully booked to accommodate a few weddings simultaneously. Finally, we settled on having Subway for dinner. The next morning, mom quickly called the restaurant to book a table for us all and so, Oriental Banquet it is! :)

Our appetizer

We ordered a total of 4 main dishes. The Peking Duck we ordered was used for 2 different dishes. Its skin was nicely cut and wrapped. Its meat was fried, and was to be wrap in between a piece of veggie for a wholesome nomnom session. We also had a tofu dish and another veggie dish.

Everything tastes super good, except the veggie dish featured on the bottom right of the picture above. It actually consists of a few different types of veggies, some herbs and mushrooms. I didn't like the celery :(

Here comes the yummiest part - DESSERT!
Each of us had a bowl of mango dessert. It's melted ice-cream served with mango slices, with abundant sago and shaved ice, top off with another scoop of ice-cream! ♥♥ YUMS ♥♥
On the day of Dad's birthday, we gave him a card, and had the cake-cutting ceremony, as usual. Pictures were taken using the other camera, so no photos of the cake for now.
hugs and kisses, ♥
